Chrysanthemum Pendant
Sterling Silver
50mm x 50mm (2" x 2")
2008

A very Japanese Flower! The Chrysanthemum!! It is used in so many Japanese things.

The flower was introduced into Japan probably in the 8th century AD, and the Emperor adopted the flower as his official seal. There is a "Festival of Happiness" in Japan that celebrates the flower.

So this one is for Happiness!

Sawpierced out of Sterling Silver and then finished with a sandblasted/matt texture, this pendant will certainly stand out!

It measures approx 50mm/2" at its' longest point with a width of almost 50mm/2" at its' widest point.

The pendant is suspended from a delicate Sterling Silver Chain that has a handmade hook closure. Length is approx 42cm/16".
